Disgraced former British secret service agent Bromo Perkins had plans to settle into a quiet and anonymous life in Australia. His plans are brutally shattered when the seductive minder of a local standover man coerces him into settling a dispute between rival property developers. As he unravels the dark underside of city hall, Bromo becomes deeper and deeper embroiled in local politics, bribery and ethnic rivalries. His descent into the suburb’s underbelly of corruption and violence leads him to a harrowing conclusion.

Praise for Done Deal

“Bromo’s dialogue is pretty snappy and he’s a man of action. This was fun and I’m glad I ordered a copy.”

—Karen, Australian Crime Fiction website

“Done Deal, set in the mean streets of inner-city Richmond, is a gripping crime story narrated by former English secret service agent Bromo Perkins. Bromo, in exile after a botched operation, is interrupted during coffee in a Bridge Road café by a blackmailing blonde. It’s the start of a bumpy ride extending from the Boulevard in South Yarra to the MCG and a stalled development site. Richmond is lovingly and accurately rendered.”

— Nicole Lindsay, the Herald Sun
